Handheld PDA's & ECLIPSE
With Microsoft’s new Pocket PC 2003 operating system and Intel’s StrongARM processor, PDA’s from Compaq, HP, SONY, and other manufacturers are finally powerful enough to integrate into
ECLIPSE.
Suppose you need to add patient services at a remote location such as a patient’s home, school, or hospital… you can do this right now. Subsets of your service & diagnostic codes, along with your entire patient database and other information can be downloaded to your PDA in seconds by pressing a few buttons in ECLIPSE. Add services on the PDA, attach it to your PC (most PDA’s have a desktop USB cradle), and select the appropriate ECLIPSE menu option to upload your services and append to patient files automatically.
Applications are also available so you can take your appointments with you when you leave the office. So… what do you think we’re charging for the PDA applications? |

These applications are entirely FREE and available to anyone who has the current ECLIPSE versions that enable import & export of data to the PDA.
In order to run applications developed by us that interface with ECLIPSE, your PDA must have the following: Microsoft Windows Pocket PC 2002 operating system; Intel StrongARM processor.; Microsoft ActiveSync 3.5 or above; an interface (usually a USB cradle) that connects the device through ActiveSync to your desktop.
We recommend and have tested the following handheld PDA's: HP Jornada 565 & 568 (the 568 has more memory and is preferred); Compaq 3765 & 3835. Note that many other units are available and should work fine (e.g. Compaq H3135) as long as they meet the requirements set forth above
